In the heart of the French Alps, at the foot of the Mont-Blanc, you will meet your mountain guide and yoga teacher Clémence, who will make you discover splendid landscapes around Chamonix, while indulging in different yoga sessions (morning dynamic yoga to awaken body and mind, meditative yoga to relax and connect more deeply to your breathing).
You just have to contemplate, breathe and above all enjoy the moment.
Day 1 : Thursday 3rd September 2020 - Chamonix
Arrival at the hotel in the afternoon. Take time to settle in comfortably in your respective rooms before the presentation of the stay around a cup of tea.
At the end of the afternoon, you will practice your first yoga session: Hatha Yoga, a classic yoga with discovery of Asanas (postures). Work on breath and body awareness.
After your session, enjoy your dinner and spend your first night at the hotel.
Day 2 : Friday 4th September 2020 - Refuge de la Loriaz
An early wake-up for meditation and Pranayama (breathing) exercises before you even have breakfast. After your breakfast, set off for your first hike of the trip: the discovery of the Loriaz refuge via the Vallon de Bérard. A wild and rejuvenating place!
After your picnic, it will already be time to go back down and return to the hotel to give yourself some free time (and enjoy the hotel pool & spa!) before your second yoga session. It will be a Yin Yoga session, a meditative yoga focused on letting go, introspection and awareness: 5 minutes sitting in each posture, in a meditative observation. This yoga helps you deepen body awareness, connect and soften your deep tissues.
After your session, you will enjoy your dinner and spend the night at the hotel.
Day 3 : Saturday 5th September 2020 - Lac Cornu
In the morning, you will have breakfast before your meditation and outdoor Vinyasa yoga practice session (if the weather is favourable). Vinyasa is a series of postures related to breathing in fluid series and adapted to the needs of each person. This yoga helps you to link the postures between each other with breathing, to improve endurance, muscle tone and flexibility.
In the middle of the morning you will leave for a magnificent hike to Lac Cornu. You will enjoy an exceptional panorama over the entire Mont-Blanc range. You will return to the hotel for your free time before dinner.
After dinner, you can enjoy a meditation session before going to sleep.
Day 4 : Sunday 6th September 2020 - Montenvers / Plan de l'Aiguille Traverse
For your last day, after breakfast, you will leave for one of the most emblematic hikes in Chamonix: the traverse from the Montenvers cog railway train, to observe the Mer de Glace, up to the Plan de l'Aiguille (the Aiguille du Midi mid station).
If the weather permits, you will do a meditation session at Lac Bleu before going back down to Chamonix and enjoying your free time to explore the city.
End of the trip.
